Summary
We’re seeking a reliable, compassionate Private Duty Non-Medical Home Assistant to provide in-home support to clients who need assistance with daily activities. Live-In Care Expectations
Live-in caregivers provide extended daily support, including overnight presence, while respecting scheduled rest periods and client privacy.
This role focuses on companionship, personal care assistance, and household support to help clients remain safe and comfortable in their own homes. The ideal candidate is patient, trustworthy, and respectful of client independence and privacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe ambulation.
- Prepare simple meals and assist the client with feeding if needed.
- Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, tidying, and dishwashing, related to client care; NOT extended family.
- Run errands such as grocery shopping or pharmacy pick-ups (non-medical).
- Provide transportation to appointments or social activities, if required.
- Remind clients to take medications (no administration).
- Observe and report changes in client condition or environment to supervisors or family.
- Maintain client confidentiality and follow care plans.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in home care, caregiving, or personal assistance preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
- Ability to follow care instructions and respect client preferences.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background screening and drug test if required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as needed for client care.
- Ability to assist with transfers and mobility safely.
Schedule and Work Environment
- Flexible scheduling based on client needs.
- Work performed in private homes.
- Shifts may include evenings, weekends, or overnight care.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range $20 to $25 per hour – location as advertised, and training.
